An Ode to Paris.

I visited Paris NINE times before moving there in 2015. What kept me coming back?

Anyone who has lived in Paris knows, the pull it has on you. The further away your experience gets from the tourists and distractions, the more time you spend with the city, truly with her, she envelopes you in amazement yet calmness, big city wonder yet small town feel, foreign exploration yet feeling strangely at home. Paris is truly one of a kind.

I’ve also lived in London and Milan, worked in Sydney and New York. But no city has kept me coming back for more quite like Paris. It just always has more to give to you.

Here at ParisLeCool, I will share with you my experiences, my learnings, my great finds, and advice so that your time in Paris, no longer how long or short, fills you with the joy and amazement I felt with each day spent there.

Paris is not merely the sum of its (tourist) attractions. The first bit of advice for your experience : try as you might to limit these to NO MORE than half of your stay. Spend the other half, sitting on a terrace, visiting a park, attending a museum or show or simply allowing yourself to get lost in the web of streets and make your own fascinating discoveries – watch, absorb, observe, discover – it is through these unplanned experiences that will leave you feeling richer.
